the end meets the beginning

Role: Main Organizer / Graphics LeadSimilar to its thunderstruck older brother, Aztec Spring Games 2026 took place over 3 seperate weekends, giving each game its own time to shine. Mario Kart World was added for the first time as a main event, while other games returned for another round of intense collegiate competition.Compared to Aztec Infinite Games' more celebratory theme, Spring Games 26' acts as more of a somber and reflective view into the recent history of the Aztec Games. Using the theme of the ouroboros, it symbolizes a changing of the guard as the original team that brought back the Aztec Games begins to move on.

Role: Organizer / Graphics LeadThe biggest, boldest, and riskiest LAN SDSU has ever put on! Aztec Infinite Games featured over 20 titles being played over 2 seperate days, with 4 concurrent streams, several sponsors, giveaways, and more. Without a doubt, there is no Aztec Gaming event more ambitious or jam-packed.The pastel-rainbow color scheme implements all the colors from all previous Aztec Games events. Aztec Infinite Games was all about everything and everyone coming together, with everything leading to this one major event. The logo itself represents a rainbow shooting star crashing down to earth.At the end of everything, this event passed 500 attendees, a record for the organization.

lightning strikes thrice

Role: Co-Organizer / Graphics LeadSpring Games returns, and with a striking new appearance! Aztec Spring Games 2025 is all about creating a departure from the original floral color scheme, which had been used for years in a row at that point.Unique to Spring Games 25', the event took place over three different weekends, with each game having its own dedicated slot and time to shine. This allowed each individual community to truly make each day their own, and created a gold-standard for collegiate esports competition.

a tri-color return

Role: Graphics LeadThe true return of the Aztec Games! If Spring Games 24' was the return to the LAN format, Aztec Fall Games 2024 is the return to the true LAN experience at SDSU. Taking place in Montezuma Hall at SDSU, this event was a massive ramp up from the event one semester prior.Despite being called "Fall Games", the sunset isle motif was chosen to promote the feeling of living in sunny San Diego for brand new Aztecs. To that end, the Tri-Color color scheme smoothly blended the feeling of the sun, waves while remaining unique and "dusky".

a new dawn blossoms

Role: Graphics LeadThe first in-person Aztec Games since COVID! Taking place in SDSU's Templo Mayor, this event was a major return to form for Aztec Gaming, which had since been running its Aztec Games events online.The theme was a continuation of previous years, using floral patterns, pleasing colors, and a bit of technological motifs to keep with the esports vibe.
